Firefly Airlines Institutes New Flights to Krabi, Thailand
Firefly, Malaysia’s premium short-haul airliner, recently announced a brand new destination – Krabi, Thailand. To celebrate their new service, the airline is holding an inauguration ceremony at Krabi International Airport’s Arrival Hall at 8:15 a.m., September 11, 2014.
Firefly’s fleet consists of twelve ATR 72-500 and two ATR 72-600 turbo props out of Penang and Subang. Secondary destinations connect through the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) and between Singapore and Malaysia. (The IMT-GT, formed in 1993 by the governments of these three nations, is a cooperative initiative created to help promote economic growth in their less developed provinces.)
Firefly will permit a 20-kilogram check-in baggage allowance for passengers on these flights, and will provide complimentary in-flight refreshments and assigned seating.
